Alcohol swabs are gauze swabs soaked in 70% isopropyl alcohol that are used to clean wounds, scrapes and undamaged skin. Alcohol swabs are used to ensure that the skin, wound or scrape is clean and free of contaminants that might cause infection. For external use only.
